Chris Wilkinson is a Partner at Brown Wright Stein Lawyers. He advises clients in the following areas:

His taxation disputes experience includes advising:
Clients on litigation in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal and Federal Court, including alternative dispute resolution.
Company Directors in relation to Director Penalty Notices.
Negotiating payment arrangements and other settlements with the ATO.
Chris has presented on taxation disputes to the members of The Tax Institute of Australia at its Annual Taxation Forum, he has also presented to the Young Tax Practitioners and to clients.
Chris’s insolvency experience includes the following:
Acting for and advising insolvency professionals appointed as receivers and managers, voluntary administrators, liquidators and controlling trustees.
Advising directors and creditors of companies in administration or in liquidation.
Attending creditor meetings on behalf of insolvency professionals, creditors, directors and bankrupts.
Litigation for insolvent companies, including:
Applications for the winding up of companies.
Applications to extend convening periods on behalf of voluntary administrators.
Insolvent trading claims.
Unfair preference claims and claims for indemnity brought by the Deputy Commissioner of Taxation.
Chris has also assisted clients on the execution of search warrants by Federal Police and regulators, including ASIC and the ATO.
In his spare time, Chris has previously been the company secretary of the Australian Mitochondrial Disease Foundation that aims to connect all mitochondrial disease sufferers.
